I took Little Sasha out for a ride today. We went down to prospect park, where I like to sit on the pier and then make my way the bench by the pond and gather my thoughts. I noticed some fish swimming in the pond, which seems more like an underwater forest. Anyway, after being there for at least half an hour I made my way up to main street, as I turned onto the side walk, Little Sasha's left pedal fell off, I panicked and couldn't fix it without tools, so I rushed home carrying her in my arms like a fallen military comrade. Luckily, I was able to fix upon returning him and finding a wrench, I also tightened the seat (which isn't to comfortable, as I have pains on my butt bone resulting from the seat). But I think I may take her down to Wal-Mart later and pick up a new seat, as well as stop in Pet Loft and confirm that I can work on the Fourth of July (we close early, and it's a fancy holiday so who wants to buy pets anyway when they could be watching Fire Works).
--Update--
Little Sasha has a new seat, well... kinda. It's from my other old bike, but it's much more cushiony. My Butt shall bo longer ride in pain!
Well as I said before, I'm home, solely because I couldn't get someone to cover for me. I'm basically running on less sleep than usual, as it always takes me extra time to get adjusted to a new bed, and throw in my restless mind, and you have a recipe for maybe 5 hours of sleep. I maybe got another half hour on the ride home though, hopefully I won't fall asleep at work.
So I'm DEFFINATLY going to do the moped thing, dad just needs to open his eyes, and realize I can work on my license and have a moped. Honestly... the nerve of that guy to tell me I can't get a moped, and then tell me I have to walk to work today (in like 100 degree weather), while I don't mind walking when I 1-have my ipod, and 2- the weather's not hot... both of those aren't happening, might I add the walk usually ranges from 20-30 minutes. So a moped would get me there in the same time it takes a car. Seriously, it's really annoying! Sorry to bog you down with my problems.
Now as much as I plan on working, and could use the money for my moped fund, I wouldn't mind getting a call like I did last week saying they wouldn't need me tonight... but that's just wishful thinking. I will say that if given the chance to go home early, I'm totally up for it.
As for work camp, this morning Rusty and I formed the ALL-STAR team when it comes to roofing, I was the wing man, lining up the shingles, and such, and he put the hammer down in the timeliest of fashion. Rusty and I room together, with the addition of Ban Marshall, we stayed up last night answering questions from my "would you rather...?" book. My work camp mixes are quite the hit, so much that I need to throw together another one tonight... I'm not sure if I can, but we'll see what happens.
So here I sit on my mac, as Meat Loaf plays in the background... I have to admit, I really like his music, but it's pretty depressing at times... especially on Bat Out Of Hell 2. So it's like good music, but it not the best thing to get stuck in your head. Yeah that's it for now, maybe I'll throw together another post before I leave tomorrow at 7 AM to head back to work camp. But in case I don't... goodbye until Friday...
Well, my day's pretty much been begun for a while now, I got up around 7:30, hung out in my room doing nothing. Then I watched the Addams Family of TV Land while I enjoyed a good breakfast sandwich, since my family decided Smoked Bacon Pringles weren't a good breakfast. Then I mowed the lawn while listening to my ipod. And nothing refreshes you after mowing the lawn on a hot day like a cold shower. So now I sit in my room telling you all this...
I have found myself with another free day from now until 4 o'clock, as I work from 4-10 tonight. And speaking of work, I'm gone tomorrow at 3 to goto the churches Work Camp at shepherd university. So I'll be spending the week out building houses, which isn't a bad thing, but I'm not the most labor intensive person (I over worked the first day last year and got sick all over the bathroom, not fun) so hopefully I'll be doing roofing most of the week, as that seems to be what I prefer to do. I may or may not be coming back on Monday for work, it depends on if I can get someone to cover for me tonight or not. I got Thursday night covered and that's the main night I needed because that's when we're going to the bowling alley/pool hall at Shepherd.
So I won't have much contact with the outside world while I'm away, so if anyone wants to call/text me over the week feel free to, your conversations are much accepted. So... yeah that just about covers it I'll update this if anything crazy happens, but for work camp updates just check my twitter...
"Life is a matter of moments, don't be in a hurry for it to be over."-1000 paths...
is the true story of former convict, turned hit radio DJ Petey Greene. This movie was incredible, I regret waiting so long to watch it. It's a true story, but you never really hear about, but let me say that it's incredible. I teared up at numerous parts in the movie, it's well worth the watch... If you can handle the f-bomb and the n-bomb deffinatly get this, you won't regret it... And even if you can't handle such bombs, get it anyway because this is a story you need to see.
Simply incredible So I still don't know what to do with my time... People should TALK TO ME and we'll hang out. (GET SMART... Tomorrow mofos) so yeah, that's about it. I work tonight, and I'm not to enthusiastic about it... I remember the days when I was excited to work, but I'm feeling kinda drained lately (which is odd because I haven't been doing much of anything lately)... Oh I keep wanting to recomended this guy, but I never remember to, but click this link and check out Joshua Radin, some of his music is on Scrubs from time to time, and he's really good. On a side note, he's playing in Towson on July 26 (awesome, but also sucks because I'm working at mattress... well maybe next summer).
And since I can text Message updates to Twitter, keep and eye on the right side of the page to find out what's going on. Just check back every now and then and see what I'm up to during these weeks of tech.
I don't know if I'm covered at work on Thursday yet today, but I should know by tonight. In other news if I'm not at Church on Sunday, odds are it's in relation to the fact that I'm not at work on Monday... Sorry god, but I'll be back in like 2 weeks.
Prom's comming up and I need to buy Ticket(s?) by the end of the week, so I need to decide whether or not I'm actually doing this, depends on who's going and the whole date thing... yup...
So anyway I've gotten back into the Beach Boys over the course of the past hour, I have Pet Sounds and Endless Summer on my ipod. If anyone wants tickets to Charlie Brown let me know and I'll sell them to you for $5, that's a dollar cheaper than at the door. I'm not seen much, but I appreciate your support. Afterall, it is taking up my life for the next 2 weeks.
IN CONCLUSION... Tech week updates on the twitter sidebar, work, god, prom, beach boys, charlie brown tickets.
PS I'm eating at Old Towne for the first time since they opened tonight (but karli doesn't know because she's doing other things.
PPS- Yesterday at work a kind customer told me that of the clerks he's encountered in his life I'm on the top of the list because I'm polite and friendly and such things. Pretty sweet, really brought up my day.
PPPS- In sadder news which brought down my day yesterday, Buddy the Podcast Dog had to be put to sleep, it's really quite sad, and I know he's going to really be missed by the whole Go Nintendo Podcast Crew, so Rest In Peace Buddy. If you guys want read about him you can check out the story here, it's really quite sad. So although I already E-mailed this to RMC, my condolences go out to him and rest of the Podcast Crew.
It's currently a Saturday Morning at 10:30 and I'm here in my PJs, I plan to get up and take a shower when this is all good and done.
Anywho, thing are going well. Works fun, and we go into tech week this week for Charlie Brown, which leads to me missing work, which when written down on paper it seems like I'm missing a lot, but I only really need to be covered for 4 days, the others I just can switch and such activities.
Dad asked my why I failed to mention Impact or New York in my last blog, and that's simply because I forgot. New York was a bundle of Fun, we saw Young Frankenstien, Curtains, Mama Mia, and (against my wishes as Spring Awakening Tickets were availiable at TKTS) Mary Poppins. All were quite good, except Mary Poppins seemed to drag on a tad.
Impact was fun to, I spent a good amount of time admire the beards of "Ashes Remain" They had some very nice beards. A video (or two, I have A LOT of footage) should be up within the week, but again I'm very busy so we'll see.
SCRUBS RETURNS ON THURSDAY!!! Which makes Thursday National Wear Scrubs Day. Well I think that's about it for now except I'm now determined to find and see the movie below...
Also, I seem to have the urge to say Merry Christmas as a way of saying goodbye, I'm not sure why but I do.
I have cold and it sucks, because when the weather gets warm I get a cold, What's up with that?
THEF1REMAN (IAMAPHONEY) posted a new video today entitled "Live fo rehtaf" Which is Father Of Evil backwards, check it out...
Also 65if2007 found IAMAPHONEY's Suitcase which he hid near Manson's Ranch for viewers to find, What was inside can be seen in this link.
I have yet to upload the impact videos to my computer, but that will most likely be happening tonight. Charlie Brown tech week starts next Wednesday, which means I have to get my work schedule worked out by then. Things are a tad on the crazy side, but in good news I understand what we're currently doing in math it seems pretty easy.
Oh, I signed up to take my SATs on May 3rd, so first SATs, and then that night my first Prom, and that's all on a saturday so I'd again need to get work straitend out. By the way filling out that annoying SAT survey with my parents was probably like 30 minutes of hell, I don't recomend it because it's meaningless and Super Annoying.
Well I have work to do, I shall return with more fun information at a later date.
PS: Earl Returns on Thursday. PPS: I won't see it because I'll be working so don't tell me what happens.
Is where I'll be all day friday. If I might add, it's a pretty big relief, I need to get away for a little while, and although dads coming, New York with some of my favorite people will be a very welcome break. Why? because my life's to crazy right now. The real problem lies in Pre-Calc, and it's quite the problem since Dad's well trained in the field of Calculus, so it's like now that I'm not doing well, it's like homework procedures and study madness. I can remember lines and historical facts and all that jazz, but when it comes to these dumb equations, I just can't seem to grasp it. I mean, if i is imaginary, how do I know it really just means -1, if it's truely an imaginary number it should mean whatever I want it to. But that's besides the point, I'm just going nuts, and it's the things that seem least important (in the long run) are the most important to me, Work, Plays (although I do plan to make acting my career), etc. And I'm just going to come out and say it, like work, and I have fun there, sure it's serious a lot, but I work with some really great people. And I don't want to lose all of that over a stupid math class. The problem with the class is that my teacher goes over things to quickly with minor explanation, enough that I can get the concept, but still be left completely lost with some aspects, give me a week and I can get it, give me a test and I somehow forget it. And the real dilema is that though my teacher has his flaws, I like him (not like that you pervs), he's a pretty funny guy.
Anyway onto the innitial topic of this post, New York trip is friday. We leave at 6, and arrive later in the day, when we'll get a tour of Mary Mount Manhattan, Then we'll be hang out and eating in Central Park, and then onto a musical theatre class with the cast of Curtains. Then some other stuff, and at night we will see Curtains, and then get a talk back with the actors. Yay.
So yeah, that's about it.
Oh and now that Awards season is over, below is a list of movies I want to see, I won't go in depth but I'll provide a video, and the name, and a brief description of why I want to see it, so here we go... There Will Be Blood
Now I've wanted to see this for a while now, Paul Dano's in it, and I loved him in Little Miss Sunshine. Not to mention, there's something cool about Daniel Day Lewis's character. Not to mention its been getting good reviews. But one of the main aspects of the movie that have gotten my attention can be seen below... (warning minor spoilers)
I seem to reference this scene everyday, and unfortunatly no one seems to get it because they haven't seen this.
Ok on to the next movie... No Country for Old Men
Now I wasn't to interested in this at first, but it's large amount of nominations and best picture win,has really peaked my interest. It just looks interesting, unfortunatly it's not in theaters anymore, so I'll have to wait for the DVD.
Once
I passed this up in theaters, but I had seen a live performance of 2 songs from the film on both the independent spirit awards, and the academy awards, and I've basically fallen in love with the music. Besides apparently my good buddy Dean saw it an loved it, so I plan to pick this up some time soon.
I'm Not There
I just love Bob Dylan, and I really love the concept in this film. Not to mention I really want to see Cate Blanchett's portrayal of Dylan.
And Finally... Talk to me
First of all Martin Sheen kind of reminds me of Mark (my boss) I think it's the voice. Anyway I like this concept, and boy do I dig the fro's. Of course, my interest in this movie has quite possibly evolved from my love of Parliament Funkadelic. Well that's it for tonight, I'll see you all later.
So Apples coming out with Mac OS X Leopard. And I'm thinking come on Apple, I haven't even been able to set up the internet on my Mac. So while I'm deffinatly considering buying my family a new router, you decide to put out some whole new update to the Mac software, that costs $129!?! While a router would cost around $90. Not to mention there are some pretty sweet games comming out this fall. ARGG!!! Although Smash Bros did get puched back so that's one less thing to worry about.
Speaking of things costing money, I am working extra this week so that should help some. I work 4-9 on Tuesday, I work 4-9 tonight, I'm covering for Danniel tomorow so she can go to Homecomming (because I'm such a gentleman), and I work from 8-4 Saturday Morning because I'm going to See Colin Mocherie and Brad Sherwood that night. What a crazy week.
To add onto the crazyness, I have Lines to memorize, The entire novel "Frankenstien" to read and write an essay about before Halloween, and well I have no idea what else, but it's deffinatly there.
NEW OFFICE, EARL AND, 30 ROCK TONIGHT!!! NEW SCRUBS NEXT WEEK!!! But the next 2 SNLs are reruns from this season, BooHoo.:(
Oh Stephen Colbert's running for president, and you all better vote for him, or America may very well be screwed come 09, he's pretty much the ONLY man for the job. And when I say that don't point to Hillary Clinton, because don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a woman president, just please, a woman who isn't her.
Monday, well here I sit listening to Paul Simon wishing it was friday. ARG. I have work tomorow, AA and Guitar on Wednesday, and Work on thursday but friday, friday is "across the universe awsome day" So yeah this week needs to speed up. By the way school pics tomorow. Woo! but not really because I don't care much for school picturing.
Well it's official My dad is officially a stereotyped internet predator, if anyone is able to help him through his troubles and set him back on the right path that would be swell. I got my first paycheck yesterday! By the way on Thursday there were a lot of Bees in the Back Pet Loft office but don't worry because they were terminated! I need to do my physics homework today and stuff. Long story short the anticipation for Friday to see Across the Universe is pretty Much Killing me...
That's right, the interview went just swell and I was hired on the spot. I start of thursday from 4-10. Sadly though I will most likely be working on Tuesdays so I can't make it to TCBS most weeks, but I'll come when I can.
WOO!
Also I went to a meeting about NHS and it kinda was a waste of time WOO!!!
Now I have to brush up on the history of SNL sense I have to do a project on it for theatre this friday.
My grandpa invited me to a cookout on my patio. I hope by this he means he's going to use our patio and make everything, but my parents seem to think otherwise. WHAT A CRAZY WORLD WE LIVE IN. I think I'm supposed to go to pet loft for th interview tomorow, because the boss told taylor to tell me to come in tomorow (now today) after school for the interview, but taylor relized it's labor day, so he's going to call me when he finds out when I should come in. And he hasn't called yet, besides I think pet loft would be closed on labor day, but you never know.
so here I am not doing much, I should mow the lawn but apparently it's all wet. Danny wants us to do another review (which I wouldn't mind) tomorow (which is when I leave for the chior trip). Melissa called and told they finally found a day when a group of us could go and hang out at there stream cabin thing, (labor day weekend) looks like I'm going to put applying for a job at Pet Loft on hold. yeah, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing right now. I need to get around to writing scripts for sketchs, films anything, but first I need my own computer to write them on because I don't like to do it on the family computer.
