Booked

Announcement:
I'm MC-ing the Calvary Cabaret at Calvary United Methodist Church on January 31st.  So grab some tickets (somehow).

On a personal note:
I'm doing well, the holiday was swell.  I have homework I need to do, but I don't quite know where to start, it's annoying.  Anyway, I've been busy lately you wouldn't know it by looking at me, especially now, wrapped in a blanket sitting in front of the good ol Mac, listening to SModcast.  That's about it, you may want to check up on the Totally Illogical Films Blog

I believe that is it for now.
Keep it realzies.

One of those instances...

Where Religion just PISSES me off...

DAVENPORT, Iowa (CNN) – A minister delivering the invocation at John McCain’s rally in Davenport, Iowa Saturday told the crowd non-Christian religions around the world were praying for Barack Obama to win the U.S. presidential election.

“There are millions of people around this world praying to their god—whether it’s Hindu, Buddha, Allah—that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons. And Lord, I pray that you will guard your own reputation, because they’re going to think that their God is bigger than you, if that happens,” said Arnold Conrad, the former pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Davenport.

The remark was made before McCain arrived at the rally but the Republican nominee's campaign quickly put out a statement distancing itself from the remarks.

“While we understand the important role that faith plays in informing the votes of Iowans, questions about the religious background of the candidates only serve to distract from the real questions in this race about Barack Obama's judgment, policies and readiness to lead as commander in chief,” said McCain campaign spokesperson Wendy Riemann.

This incident comes a day after a Minnesota voter asked Senator McCain if Barack Obama was an Arab at a town hall in Lakeville, Minnesota and just three days after Lehigh GOP County Chairman Bill Platt made a speech at a McCain rally in Pennsylvania where he refered to the Democrat nominee for president as Barack Hussein Obama.
And it's not so much that it's against Obama, but the narrow minded BULLS!!T behind it.  God forbid we let other people practice their religion.  GUESS WHAT!  For all you know those Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, hell even atheists are JUST AS RIGHT as you THINK you are.  The fact is there's NO WAY to prove you're right, I'm a Christian, but why the hell do you want to put down other religions, because frankly for all you know they could be right, and you could be the one going to hell.  So think about that before you begin to look down upon inferior religions.  Because I swear to god, if my pastors ever speak out against Obama in a service I'll strait up leave and find a new church.  Keep religion and politics separate, instill the values, but there are HUNDREDS of different beliefs, don't narrow yourselves down to one, and keep things acceptable for everyone.  Even though I am a "Christian" I'm pretty open to other beliefs, I've read a book by the Dali Llama, It's not like that's my excuse, but I'd sooner join in another religion than shut it out.

I'm glad I could vent that.

Also, I went to Homecoming tonight and had a good time, but now I need sleep.  I have work in the morning.

Monday, June 23, 2008

Hello...

Well as I said before, I'm home, solely because I couldn't get someone to cover for me.  I'm basically running on less sleep than usual, as it always takes me extra time to get adjusted to a new bed, and throw in my restless mind, and you have a recipe for maybe 5 hours of sleep.  I maybe got another half hour on the ride home though, hopefully I won't fall asleep at work.

So I'm DEFFINATLY going to do the moped thing, dad just needs to open his eyes, and realize I can work on my license and have a moped.  Honestly... the nerve of that guy to tell me I can't get a moped, and then tell me I have to walk to work today (in like 100 degree weather), while I don't mind walking when I 1-have my ipod, and 2- the weather's not hot...  both of those aren't happening, might I add the walk usually ranges from 20-30 minutes.  So a moped would get me there in the same time it takes a car.  Seriously, it's really annoying!  Sorry to bog you down with my problems.

Now as much as I plan on working, and could use the money for my moped fund, I wouldn't mind getting a call like I did last week saying they wouldn't need me tonight...  but that's just wishful thinking.  I will say that if given the chance to go home early, I'm totally up for it.

As for work camp, this morning Rusty and I formed the ALL-STAR team when it comes to roofing, I was the wing man, lining up the shingles, and such, and he put the hammer down in the timeliest of fashion.  Rusty and I room together, with the addition of Ban Marshall, we stayed up last night answering questions from my "would you rather...?" book.  My work camp mixes are quite the hit, so much that I need to throw together another one tonight... I'm not sure if I can, but we'll see what happens.

So here I sit on my mac, as Meat Loaf plays in the background...  I have to admit, I really like his music, but it's pretty depressing at times... especially on Bat Out Of Hell 2.  So it's like good music, but it not the best thing to get stuck in your head.  Yeah that's it for now, maybe I'll throw together another post before I leave tomorrow at 7 AM to head back to work camp.  But in case I don't... goodbye until Friday...

Victory shall be mine...

So I was wrong, I can get a MD Moped Operators Permit... they're like $45.  And it looks like I shouldn't need to take a test or anything... check this out...
Moped Operator Permit: An applicant may obtain a Moped Operator Permit if the applicant is 16 years old, does not possess a valid driver's license issued by Maryland or any other jurisdiction, and provided the applicant's privilege to drive is not revoked, suspended, refused, or canceled in any jurisdiction.
So this could be it, I can afford the permit, and I'm pretty sure I can afford a moped...  The thing is my learners expires on the 6th, and I have doubts that I'll be seeing a big increase driving more frequently.  This would make things SO much easier, I take the back roads, and this gives me a way to get around when my family can't drive me themselves.  This just makes things so much easier on myself, and my parents, they just need to recognize that I can do this and work on my driving when possible.  Seriously MOPED=GOOD IDEA... besides, gas mopeds get good milage.

So that's my story about Mopeds I leave for work camp at 3, and need to stop by work at 1 during the shift change to see if anyone can cover for me tomorrow.  If they can't it's no big deal, I have it figured out to get there if I can't get covered, so it's a matter of will I make my dad drive out an hour tomorrow to pick me up or not.

Yeah, Hair cut picks probably won't happen, which just makes me look lazy because I'm on my mac, and I could just open photobooth, but you know me... so either wait, because I'm sure there'll be work camp pics with my hair in them, so just wait a week.

So incase I don't come home tomorrow to work I'll see you all on Friday night, Enjoy your week.  And to all my friends at Rehobeth, do me a favor and don't get eaten by sharks.

UPDATE... well I couldn't get covered for tomorrow night, so it looks like you'll be getting a post to some degree Monday night...

Saturday Morning at 10 o'clock as the day begins...

Well, my day's pretty much been begun for a while now, I got up around 7:30, hung out in my room doing nothing.  Then I watched the Addams Family of TV Land while I enjoyed a good breakfast sandwich, since my family decided Smoked Bacon Pringles weren't a good breakfast.  Then I mowed the lawn while listening to my ipod.  And nothing refreshes you after mowing the lawn on a hot day like a cold shower.  So now I sit in my room telling you all this...

I have found myself with another free day from now until 4 o'clock, as I work from 4-10 tonight.  And speaking of work, I'm gone tomorrow at 3 to goto the churches Work Camp at shepherd university.  So I'll be spending the week out building houses, which isn't a bad thing, but I'm not the most labor intensive person (I over worked the first day last year and got sick all over the bathroom, not fun)  so hopefully I'll be doing roofing most of the week, as that seems to be what I prefer to do.  I may or may not be coming back on Monday for work, it depends on if I can get someone to cover for me tonight or not.  I got Thursday night covered and that's the main night I needed because that's when we're going to the bowling alley/pool hall at Shepherd.

So I won't have much contact with the outside world while I'm away, so if anyone wants to call/text me over the week feel free to, your conversations are much accepted.  So... yeah that just about covers it I'll update this if anything crazy happens, but for work camp updates just check my twitter...

Tech Week Begin's tomorrow...

And since I can text Message updates to Twitter, keep and eye on the right side of the page to find out what's going on. Just check back every now and then and see what I'm up to during these weeks of tech.

I don't know if I'm covered at work on Thursday yet today, but I should know by tonight. In other news if I'm not at Church on Sunday, odds are it's in relation to the fact that I'm not at work on Monday... Sorry god, but I'll be back in like 2 weeks.

Prom's comming up and I need to buy Ticket(s?) by the end of the week, so I need to decide whether or not I'm actually doing this, depends on who's going and the whole date thing... yup...

So anyway I've gotten back into the Beach Boys over the course of the past hour, I have Pet Sounds and Endless Summer on my ipod. If anyone wants tickets to Charlie Brown let me know and I'll sell them to you for $5, that's a dollar cheaper than at the door. I'm not seen much, but I appreciate your support. Afterall, it is taking up my life for the next 2 weeks.

IN CONCLUSION...
Tech week updates on the twitter sidebar, work, god, prom, beach boys, charlie brown tickets.

PS I'm eating at Old Towne for the first time since they opened tonight (but karli doesn't know because she's doing other things.

PPS- Yesterday at work a kind customer told me that of the clerks he's encountered in his life I'm on the top of the list because I'm polite and friendly and such things. Pretty sweet, really brought up my day.

PPPS- In sadder news which brought down my day yesterday, Buddy the Podcast Dog had to be put to sleep, it's really quite sad, and I know he's going to really be missed by the whole Go Nintendo Podcast Crew, so Rest In Peace Buddy. If you guys want read about him you can check out the story here, it's really quite sad. So although I already E-mailed this to RMC, my condolences go out to him and rest of the Podcast Crew.

Things are going quite well in the life of Kevin...

It's currently a Saturday Morning at 10:30 and I'm here in my PJs, I plan to get up and take a shower when this is all good and done.

Anywho, thing are going well. Works fun, and we go into tech week this week for Charlie Brown, which leads to me missing work, which when written down on paper it seems like I'm missing a lot, but I only really need to be covered for 4 days, the others I just can switch and such activities.

Dad asked my why I failed to mention Impact or New York in my last blog, and that's simply because I forgot. New York was a bundle of Fun, we saw Young Frankenstien, Curtains, Mama Mia, and (against my wishes as Spring Awakening Tickets were availiable at TKTS) Mary Poppins. All were quite good, except Mary Poppins seemed to drag on a tad.

Impact was fun to, I spent a good amount of time admire the beards of "Ashes Remain" They had some very nice beards. A video (or two, I have A LOT of footage) should be up within the week, but again I'm very busy so we'll see.

SCRUBS RETURNS ON THURSDAY!!! Which makes Thursday National Wear Scrubs Day. Well I think that's about it for now except I'm now determined to find and see the movie below...

Also, I seem to have the urge to say Merry Christmas as a way of saying goodbye, I'm not sure why but I do.

So Merry Christmas everyone!

An Update

I have cold and it sucks, because when the weather gets warm I get a cold, What's up with that?

THEF1REMAN (IAMAPHONEY) posted a new video today entitled "Live fo rehtaf" Which is Father Of Evil backwards, check it out...

Also 65if2007 found IAMAPHONEY's Suitcase which he hid near Manson's Ranch for viewers to find, What was inside can be seen in this link.

I have yet to upload the impact videos to my computer, but that will most likely be happening tonight. Charlie Brown tech week starts next Wednesday, which means I have to get my work schedule worked out by then. Things are a tad on the crazy side, but in good news I understand what we're currently doing in math it seems pretty easy.

Oh, I signed up to take my SATs on May 3rd, so first SATs, and then that night my first Prom, and that's all on a saturday so I'd again need to get work straitend out. By the way filling out that annoying SAT survey with my parents was probably like 30 minutes of hell, I don't recomend it because it's meaningless and Super Annoying.

Well I have work to do, I shall return with more fun information at a later date.

PS: Earl Returns on Thursday.
PPS: I won't see it because I'll be working so don't tell me what happens.

Hancock Trailer

The new Will Smith movie "Hancock" finally has a trailer, and I can't decide if I want to see the movie or not. It just looks to me like he's a clumsy superhero, who doesn't give a crap. And I'm not sure whether or not I have the same attitude about the movie. Check the trailer below...

Also, I'm MC-ing the Calvary Cabaret this Saturday, come check me out in that and then check out the many other great acts that will be there.

Here it is...

Well it took me about half an hour but it finally uploaded.

It's not really a christian song, but I like it, it works with the situation, and it is what we listend to on the car ride to creation, so it works for me.

To those who were there but arn't in the video I apologize, this doesn't mean I cut footage of you, it just means I didn't have any to begin with.

In case you couldn't tell, I absolutly love Bobbys scream, it seems so cartoony to me.

Back

That Chior retreat was fun, until the last 2 hours where I really just wanted to get home. Anyway we had a Drum Circle and Ryan told me about this video, which I thought I'd share...

CURSE YOU KIRK FRANKLIN! CUUURSE YOOOUUU!!!

Ok, so I'm supposed to know everything the man says in this one song for sunday, but let me tell you there's only so many times you can repeat a song that practically repeats itself for 5 minutes. I'm trying I really am, but when my musical intuitions begin to stray away and I start listening the music on Julian Lennons myspace page I tend to forget about Kirk Franklin. GEEZE!!! What's a guy to do.

I'm supposed to be theguy talking...

well then,

so here I am not doing much, I should mow the lawn but apparently it's all wet. Danny wants us to do another review (which I wouldn't mind) tomorow (which is when I leave for the chior trip). Melissa called and told they finally found a day when a group of us could go and hang out at there stream cabin thing, (labor day weekend) looks like I'm going to put applying for a job at Pet Loft on hold. yeah, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing right now. I need to get around to writing scripts for sketchs, films anything, but first I need my own computer to write them on because I don't like to do it on the family computer.

By the way this video is awsome:

H2$ x 2, and Youth Praise Team

Saturday Night: Aw Hellz yeah, last night we sold out of tickets, and the show was just amazing that's all I have to say.

This Morning: Youth Praise team performed we kicked butt.

This Afternoon: The final showing of H2$, we bid the seniors a final farewell during the curten call because they will be missed. And when Gino's rocket hit Ashley... HILLARIOUS!!! Or when the someones cell phone went off in the audiance and we subliminally made fun off them by pretending it was someone in the board room and commenting on how rude they were being... HILLARIOUS!!!

Yeah that's about it but uh... have two pics...

Saturday, April 28, 2007

wow...

Our Youth Praise Team just can't seem to get along. At first things were going fine, except Bobby was the last person to show up even though he insisted on meeting at 9. But when we got into the music aspect things went from good to bad. You see Bobby and Dan, have a terrible habit of picking at every little flaw in a song, which just leads to arguements. Rusty can get kind of arguementative about things, but that's solely because the drummers (either him or Ryan when Ryan comes) often get shot down the most so I clearly understand where he's comming from. I'm probably the most pesimistic one about our group though because while everyones argueing I'm not and I just sit on the sidelines watching them make fools out of them selves. Not to mention there are so much bad vibes as a result of it sometime I just want to leave the practice and wait till they stop fighting. Now I could pick t some musical problem we have but I'm not willing to stoop down to that level, this is about the attitude of the band which seriously needs to pick up because the constant bickering between other members is driving me nuts.

Thanks for reading, scroll below for more uplifting stories.

H2$: Night Two

Another excellent show, Second night blues I've never heard of the thing. Well not much else to say except we sold 390/400 tickets!!! Which is awsome!!! Yeah that's about it for tonights show.

But tomorow morning Our Youth Praise team is supposed to practice and Bobby Martin decided starting practice at 9 (am) was an excellent idea, so needless to say I'm pretty pissed about that. You see, other than Rusty, Ryan, and Myself our praise team doesn't seem to get along and Bobby thinking that it will be as short of a practice as he made it seem in his E-mail tells me that he's really underestimating how we need to set up the drums, stands, wait for people to show up, and co-operate in the wee hours of the morning. Well I'll go, but will I be late? or will I be positively right about what a disaster this practice has the potential to be? Well you can expect to find out tomorow.
