On this last day of August...

There were plenty of good comedies this month (and 1 awful one I didn't see, but we all know about that) We had Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder and Hamlet 2. Great month.

I started looking back into a Moped today (whoops) The thing is you need a license OR an operators permit. And mopeds can go on streets, as long as they don't exceed 30 MPH, which makes them perfect for my neighborhood travels, the speed limit in Mount Airy doesn't really go over 30, so it'd be perfect for getting to work, or to Danny's house like today when I don't have ride. Just a thought. Saving on gas for getting around locally, it's really not a bad idea.

Anyway, we're meeting at Danny's playing Boardgames, brainstorming, watching movies, should be a fun night.

Sept. is much of a month for movies in theaters, Except for Burn After Reading on the 12th, which I'm definitely seeing. But it's a good month for DVDs, The Promotion on Tuesday, The Foot Fist way on the 23rd, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall on the 30th. Woo!!!

Well that's my update for today.

WTF?

Ok, I could understand this from The Onion, but it's from freakin' CNN!!!  Seriously, is the only bad thing you can figure out about Obama is that he has a cold?  Well, compared to McCain continuing years of Governor Bush's flawed policies a cold is more than welcome.  If anything, this only proves that Obama is a sweet as those Panda bears at the National Zoo.  So a special thanks to CNN for trying to screw this country over all because of a cold.

I WILL NOT BE SILENCED!!!

I was interviewed by the local newspaper asking about how many golds Phelps would win, I said he had the potential and the swimmers bod to win 9 medals this year. The ninth being the secret gold that could only be given by the leader of china or the president of the united states.

Afterwards the woman who interviewed me asked if that was true, and I said nope. She said I fooled her, and then they neglected to put it in their paper.

The point is, I fooled the press, and clearly that would give me to much power if I fooled the world (but I could have done it).

So thanks FNP, thanks a lot (insert sarcasm).  I WON THAT WAR,  I FOOLED YOUR REPORTER, I DEMAND RECOGNITION!

On that super late note, goodnight.

WATER WARS!!!

BEHOLD!!!  Here it is, the official video for Calvary UMYF's Water Wars, and my first real venture into Final Cut.  I quite like this one.  Check it yo.

Monday, August 18, 2008

I want an army of Digeridoos, 50,000 DIGERIDOOS!!!

So here I sit, it's monday night, technically tuesday morning.

Anyway, I'm only 50 seconds into editing the video from the Water Wars last night.  I'm still figuring out Final Cut, but I tell you the 50 seconds I have are quite the kick ass.  Anyhow, now I'm facing the decision to goto Solomons island with the family tomorrow, or stay home and finish this, it's a war between my personal priorities and that feeling that I should go for the sake of being with my family outside of this house.  OH THE AGONY, I honestly have no idea what to do.

Other than that, nothing to new is going on.  The guys at Totally Illogical Films have been throwing around ideas, and we have a plan for a photo shoot to help officiate the company, but nothing's been put into action yet.

I'm planning to see Cheech and Chong on Sept 13 at the warner theater, should be a fun time.  While in celebration of Brad turning 17, we're going to have him buy his first R rated ticket to see DEATHRACE on Saturday night... DEATHRACE!!!!  It doesn't even look good, but it doesn't have to be, a movie by the name of Death Race sells itself.

That is it for tonight, I leave you with a nice song by Flight of the Conchords...

I'll Bring My Own Rope has hit Youtube!!!

Uncut!!!  So if you're a small child DO NOT watch the following video, the language could blow your mind...  The following is a post from the blog page on Totally Illogical Films Myspace Page.

Finally I've cut the film in half, and lowered the file sizes, and here we are... Live On Youtube. But whether you've seen it on DVD, or myspace, cutting the film in half for youtube gave me the ability to fool around with final cut. The main adventure of me fooling around can be seen in the beginning of part two. This is something new, you've never seen this brief 30 second piece before, just check that out even if you've seen the rest of the movie before, brand new content just for youtube.

Part 1

Part 2

Thanks for watching and mozeltov.

The Tropical Fruit Train...

Hello everyone.  Just got back from Pineapple Express, The above is the shirt I made just for the occasion (Designs from Ridetheexpress.com).  Anyhow, the movie was really good, it's really not your average "stoner comedy"  It's more so and action comedy with stoner overtones.  Basically you have Dale (Seth Rogan) and Saul (James Franco) on the run from a drug dealer and a corrupt cop.  Why are they on the run?  Well, Dale happens to witness Ted (the dealer) murder one of the rival dealers.  Basically the movie is filled with the hilarity we've come to know from the Seth Rogan/Evan Goldberg team, infused with over the top action sequences and a pretty good story.

If you've enjoyed any of Judd Apatow's past flicks check out Pineapple Express, it won't disappoint (although it might, I don't know you).

So yeah a good day at the movies with Danny, Brad, Shane, Travis, and myself.  Tomorrow... Tropic Thunder at 11:30 (I have a t-shirt for that too) and then hanging out until Brad's Smoothie King career continues.

Until tomorrow, Mozeltov!

He blew his mind out in a car...

This past week while going through an Antique shop in Downtown Frederick, I came across this issue of Life Magazine.

I had seen the cover before, and knew I had found a good piece of Paul Is Dead history. My dad and I both being believers in the ideal split the price and share joint custody of the issue. In reading the article just a few minutes ago, I wanted to point out something...

If you listen to end of Strawberry Fields Forever, as the music is fading in and out of jumbled whistles and a little chaos, you can clearly hear John Lennon say "I Buried Paul." In the issue Derek Taylor (The Beatles' agent) stated that John was in fact saying "I'm Very Bored." The problem is in many instances the argument has been that John was saying "Cranberry Sauce." My issue here is that they can't seem to get it strait on what was said there, both accusations have been made by people close to The Beatles, so why can't they agree on one answer?
I still have my money on "I Buried Paul" listen to it and see if you agree.

Paul died before Sgt. Peppers, look at the album art, it's a funeral. The drum is the grave. I could go on, but we'll leave it there.

A day late, but just as important

SUPER ANNOUNCEMENT:

Yesterday, marks the final nail in the home merger between "Brad Rosen Productions" and "Kevin Cole Enterprises"

What can this mean, why, the two have now merged to form "TOTALLY ILLOGICAL FILMS"  And as of yesterday the new film company has been made official.  We currently have a bare-bones Youtube Account to be updated soon, and an official Myspace Film Page.  Check this stuff out as you're witnessing the beginning in a new era of awesome.

Over the next week I'll fully update the Youtube page, Brad will probably pimp out the myspace, and who knows maybe I'll throw together a blog or official website soonish as well.  Until then...

Oh The Irony...

a man witnesses all these horrible accidents throughout his life, friends and acquaintances dropping like flies, killed in all these horrible ways. when he finally dies of old age he finds himself in the award ceremony, and he's told about the powers he had, and and he wins the award. everyone in the audience is bandaged. XERIC GRANT PLZ

CLICK THE IMAGE AS IT IS CUT OFF!!!
Not much irony in my day today, earlier Mom was complaining about how much time I spent in my room, and I'm like well there's not much to do outside my room without leaving the house.  So she suggests I could clean my room, which doesn't get me out of my room at all :/

Anyhow, I picked up a plain white T-shirt to make a pineapple express shirt because the website has iron-ons, but I think I'm gonna get a plain colored t-shirt instead in a few days.

I got out of work early because it was slow and there wasn't much to do.  I've realized that there's 7 more eps in season 1 of Arrested Development, and the library refuses to allow the existence of the 3rd disc.  In case you didn't know I've been watching Arrested Development the past week, I have to say it's a brilliant comedy, it's so smart, and constantly hillarious, it's easily made it's way up to my favorites.  and it features pre-Superbad Michael Cera.

I like having stand-up on my ipod, because when it's on shuffle the stand-up bits are like the musicians interjections before a song at a concert, it's kinda cool to have that transition.

I'm prolly gonna watch Tenacious D tonight, more later.

Not a bad way to lose a student...

I recently got an e-mail from a college that went something like this...

Now Roanoke, no offense, but a good way to lose a student is by making the first image in your e-mail a man hooked up to all these monitors and wires while on some type of treadmill, with 2 spooky men with a computer in the background.  This is not the college experience I'm looking for, heck, did I even sign up for this e-mail?

haha lawns...

So Mom was like "you should mow the lawn today"  and I was like "okay" in the way where I hint that I probably won't and don't want to.  So I decided to take a break from reading scripts a few minutes ago, go downstairs to get some water, and think to myself "well I might as well check to see if it's even worth it to mow."  So I go out and find myself thinking "damn, I really don't want to mow the lawn, but this is probably the best day I'm gonna get."  Not much sun, and not to hot...  so it looks like I'm mowing...
--UPDATE--
Looks like it may start raining any minute now, I may not have to mow at all, which is annoyinng once I've decided to, oh well.

You could be responsible for Phil's death

Hola, this is my first serious post since the 2 Breaking Dawn stories.  So here I sit at the computer, 11:30 at night after a crazy day at work... Let me just say that I have a new respect for ice sculptors, and by that I mean, I spent at least an hour chiseling the ice out of the freezer.  fun times were had.

I finally got an AP Comp essay finished, which unlocked "George Carlin: It's Bad For Ya" Which I am listening to now, funny man, also brilliant.

So I plan to audition for The Complete Works Of Shakespeare (abridged) this week, should be a fun experience if I can get a part.  I've also found out that the school play is "The Miracle Worker" which I had Mom pick up the script for today, so I plan to get a read out of that too.  I also had her check out the 1st season of Arrested Development from the library, which I plan to check out after I'm done listening to George Carlin's last show.

Goodnight, and Good Luck.

Area Man beaten over Breaking Dawn accusations.

Area man, Kevin Cole was recently bombarded with fists, feet, and the occasional tentacle. The following happened no less than a day after supposedly posting the end of Breaking Dawn on the internet. In said post he revealed that main character, and teenage heart throb, Edward Cullen, would be dead by the end of the novel. His brief post also eluded to Bella Swan as the possible murder suspect.

Around 6:17 PM on Saturday August 2, 2008, screams from said area man could be heard as far as Baltimore.

“NO DEAR GOD PLEASE!!! IT WAS ONLY A JOKE, THE AUTHOR WOULD NEVER WRITE THAT!!! DIDN’T YOU EVEN READ THE FIRST BOOK, I’M PRETTY SURE THAT LINE WASN’T IN THERE!!! NOOOOO!”

Once the screams stopped, Jim McHaggis, an area beat farmer with no knowledge of the Twilight series called the police and notified them of the problem. Later Kevin Cole was rushed to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he was treated for numerous flesh wounds, bruises, and a massive “head hole.”

While on what may very well be his death bed Kevin Cole reported “I swear it was all a hoax, just like the “Harry Dies” movement that swept the state of Virginia this time last year.”

Our wishes go to the Cole family, that some form of supernatural karma vampires won’t devour them.

Put down BREAKING DAWN for 2 seconds...

Edward dies...

No seriously guys, I swear he totally does. Stephenie Meyer's hinted at it sense the beginning.

Ex. page 257 of Twilight

"But seriously Bella, I've been around hundereds of years, and I bet that by the end of these next 4 years someone will realize I'm a vampire, and stab me in the heart with a wooden steak."
Trust me, he totally says that and 4 years, come on, Twilight's like Harry Potter, each book goes on like a year, we all know it to be true.  Besides, all those pages in Eclipse without Edward was clearly preparing the reader for a cullen-less future.  And here's how it happens on page 436 of Breaking Dawn...

"At that moment Bella knew it was best for the both of them, if Edward wasn't going to turn her into a vampire, and if his life was going to just get more dangerous, it was the best decision.  With that she took a wooden stake, and put her love to rest. And that was it, Edward Cullen was totally dead."
Now look at my face do I look like a liar?  That's what happens sorry guys.

PS: Dear angry readers, feel free to take a good punch next time you see me, and if I'm somehow right, please no lynchings.

Swinging Votes

So yeah, I just got back from swing vote, it was ok. Not really all that laugh out loud funny, except for the over the top ads the politicians would use to try to win the main characters vote. Looking past that, it was a good movie. I did find it flawed in how it tried to show every vote matters in the argument that tone single vote can't change the outcome of the election, where's the flaw in showing that one man's vote completely determined the outcome? Well, in letting one man decide the outcome it completely erases the votes of everyone else in the nation. That and whenever they'd say what a unique moment it was for politics I couldn't help but reflect on how utterly impossible it was, in a way, Step Brothers was more believable. However Swing Vote is still a good movie, and Nathan Lane's in it, if you miss it in theaters, try to see it sometime via renting or TV.

We'll all float on alright.

So here I sit, a Thursday, and I'm NOT at work? Double You Tee Eff? So anyway, why no work? because I have pick up rehearsal, for Mattress, with no costumes, which means I'm free to wear my green shirt, and not the average black attire. I'll hopefully drive tonight, and we can listen to the Walk Hard Soundtrack.

I've been on and off writing an essay for AP comp today, my attention span dies pretty fast for school essays, but I've added an element of humor to my essay to keep it more interesting. It's about whether or not we should have corporate sponsorship in our schools, I'll reveal the humorous twist once I've turned it in. Once I get this done Mom's going to give me the George Carlin CD I asked for, so that's some incentive.

Other than that, there's not much new going on, Weekend=nothing, except work and mattress no new movies are coming out, at least non I'm to interested in. I want to goto the columbia mall sometime soon, that way I can pick up either Final Cut express for my Mac, or the upgrade to OSX Leopard, or both, but I'd have to cash some checks first. Anyway, until later I leave you with this scene from Walk Hard...

Tim Meadows

One of my favorite, less recognized comedians, he's The Ladies Man for those who don't know, he's also in Walk Hard, a very funny guy, check out these clips...
